Canadian Immigration Left List

Canadian Startup Business Immigration (SUV)

Direct permanent residence No business experience required Can apply in Hong Kong Flexible departure

Canada SUV has become a permanent immigration policy since 2018. It is an efficient immigration policy used by the Canadian government to attract new technologies and entrepreneurial talents.

Applicants need to pass angel investment groups, business incubators or designated venture capital funds with innovative business plans to obtain application qualifications for the program. Applicants can also apply for permanent residence directly in their place of origin. Regardless of the success or failure of the business, they can immigrate to Canada for permanent residence.

The latest overview of Canada's startup immigration SUV in 2024 (updated on April 30)

On April 30, 2024, the Canadian government implemented a series of major reforms aimed at reducing backlogs and speeding up processing! The new measures include imposing quota restrictions on government-designated institutions that review business concepts for applicants - Business Incubators, Angel Investor Groups, Venture Capital Funds. From that day on, only 10 startup companies can be supported for PR applications each year. The newly implemented quota system will be maintained at least until the end of 2026.
